Google Maps – The Caneva Hill and The Source of Piave River

Today sunbathing towards the sources of the Piave. Once in Visdende Valley we leave the car in Sesis and go up to Pass of Caneva Hill by the mule track marked CAI-137, first in a new cart road along the Rio Oregone bed, then on an enlarged mule track up to the pass towards South-East.
Once on the plateau at the foot of Mount Peralba we visit the monument to the sources of the river sacred to the homeland at the Piave Sources refuge. Then we continue towards the top of the Caneva Hill along the path that winds along the meadows.
Having reached the simple summit, we descend to Roccolo Pass along a wooded mule track and return back to Visdende Valley along the CAI-136 path, which is still difficult to travel due to crashed trees.
