The Cima Mezzana of Val Visdende

The Cima Mezzana of Val Visdende is located along the mountain range of the Carnic Alps that act as an Austrian Italian state border. It is located in the block of Mountains in a central position of the valley. On the Italian side it can be simply reachable in half an hour, leaving the carnic crossing at the height of the Val Carnia fork. We go up a slope, first dentic then grassy to the summit, along old military paths, dating back to the Great War. It is possible, with a little experience, descend the west side of the mountain, always long old military walkways to reach the underlying Val Mezzana fork and therefore reintegrate into the border path with CAI 172 signpost.
